Wondering about the preservation process? You’re in the right place! I preserve all special occasion flowers including memorial and wedding florals.

The floral preservation process

  • 1. Reserve your spot

Floral preservation is time sensitive and reservation slots are limited, so it’s best to book ahead. A $75 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot. If you attempt to book within two weeks of your wedding, an additional $75 late reservation fee applies. Memorial orders are not subject to a deposit or late reservation fees. I’m based in the US and accept clients nationwide. The order minimum for weddings is $200 and the minimum for memorial orders is $100. Read the FAQs page and reach out to eatovar@alvettabloomsflowerfarm.com with any questions.

  • 2. Send your flowers

If you’re local to Grand Rapids, MI you can drop off your flowers within 1-2 business days after your event. If not, I will send you a detailed instructions to overnight ship your flowers. The cost to overnight a bouquet can range anywhere from $50-$400.

  • 3. Finalize your order

Order changes are due by the time I receive your flowers. After I have your flowers in hand I will send an invoice with your remaining balance the week after your event date. At this time I will also send a contract to sign.

  • 4. Sit tight!

As soon as I receive your flowers, I’ll get your order started. First your flowers must be dried, either by dehydrating in silica sand or by pressing - this can take up to 8 weeks for some flowers. Then the design process starts, followed by casting, and finishing. Projects take an estimated 3-4 months to complete, but this varies based on the time of year and size of your order. If your project is taking longer than anticipated, I’ll reach out to you.

  • 5. Tada, your precious pieces are finished!

If local, pickup will be arranged. If your items must be shipped back to you, shipping charges will be calculated and must be paid before the items are sent out.

Now all you have to do is decide where to display your forever pieces. Read care and display instructions here. Enjoy!
