Preserved flowers are everlasting windows into the most important days of our lives
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Theoretically, yes. Flowers properly preserved in resin will last forever, but the color of the flowers will fade over time. This is normal and is a perfect reminder of the fleeting beauty of not only flowers, but of human life. Preserved florals will retain their color longer if kept out of sunlight and away from heat. I use a special epoxy with UV blockers but even that won’t protect your flowers forever.

100% yes, resin ambers with aging and there is nothing that can be done to stop the chemical reaction that is responsible. Even pieces kept in complete darkness will amber. The rate at which resin ambers depends on so many factors, including but not limited to: the environment you display your piece in (heat, UV light), batch effect - different batches of resin amber faster than others, and resin quality. I use a high quality resin with UV blockers that was designed for preserving flowers. I’d like to emphasize that resin ambering in no way negates the sentimental value of your piece or abrogates the hard work that went in to making it. Rather, the amebering again reminds us of the fleeting nature of life and the constant march of time.

YES, I do! I can create everlasting art or unique jewelry with any special occasion flowers including memorial and wedding florals. Have a bouquet of dried flowers in your closet? I can work with that! Planning a wedding in the future? I can work with those flowers too!
-
Yes. There is a $200 minimum for all custom wedding orders. There is a $100 minimum for memorial orders.

If you’re getting married, please try to book my services as far in advance as possible. Payment of the deposit guarantees your spot on my calendar. Because floral preservation is time sensitive, I have a limited number of slots open each weekend for orders and my calendar fills up fast! Orders placed less than 2 weeks out from your event are subject to a $75 rush fee, if I have a slot available. The rush fee does not apply to memorial orders, as those events are unplanned.

All flowers change when they go through the drying process. Most white flowers turn cream or brown, and many flowers darken in color. Pressed florals often look the most different because they have lost their 3D shape while flowers dried in silica retain their shape extremely well. Additionally, some flowers like roses will show transparent spots in resin. We call these 'love spots' because these are places where your flowers have been touched by human hands. It's impossible to see the spots before the flowers are in resin.
Additionally, I can only preserve your flowers in the condition in which I receive them. If shipping, I strongly urge you to follow the packing and shipping instructions for the best results. If you're local, I need your flowers dropped off within 2-3 days of your event.

Yes, I color correct. This is an artistic service that I offer to my clients and I use my discretion to determine which flowers I recommend for correcting + which colors to use. The decision to correct is ultimately up to the client. Please reach out for pricing.

Yes! Let me know when you're booking if you'd like a colored background for your piece. Common colors are white, black (which will mask resin ambering), and clear.

I sure can! All I need are a few pictures of your wedding bouquet to get started on sourcing your florals. I have quite a collection of already dried flowers plus access to a wholesaler where I can purchase any and all types of flowers + foliage.
